MC.GRA2 Node Replacement

    Maintenance has been completed successfully. Customers on mc.gra2.winternode.com have been migrated to gs100.gra.winternode.com and now you can start up your server and get back to gaming!

    If you used WinterNode provided subdomains or have setup your own personal domains, you will need to update your DNS records accordingly.

    If you were using the WinterNode database server, please make sure to update the database host accordingly to gs100.gra.winternode.com

    If you are experiencing any issues starting your server, please submit a ticket in our Discord Server.

    We will be performing a node replacement for MC.GRA2. This operation is part of our ongoing effort to optimize our services and introduce better hardware.

    Key Details of the Maintenance:

    1) Temporary Shutdown: All gameservers operating in MC.GRA2 will be temporarily powered off during the maintenance period. You will need to start your server once the maintenance has been completed.

    2) Game Panel Access: Access within the Game Panel for this node will be restricted while the maintenance is underway.

    3) IP Address Changes:

    • The majority of IP addresses will remain unchanged.

    • For clients using machine IPs (the direct IP obtained when pinging the hostname of these nodes), please be aware that these IPs will be renumbered.

      • This change should affect only a limited number of clients. We will provide individual notices to those customers once the migration is complete.

    4) Database Migration: Databases associated with these nodes will also be moved during this process. You will need to update the database server ip after the migration is completed.

    5) Data Integrity: We do not anticipate any data loss as a result of this maintenance.

    We understand the importance of uninterrupted service and are committed to keeping the downtime to a minimum. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to enhance our infrastructure and continue delivering exceptional service.

    What
    We will replace the PDU feeding the listed servers. All in-scope servers will be powered off at the start of the window and brought back online as quickly as possible.

    Following this morning’s incident, our review indicates the PDU is the source of instability. Replacement is required to restore reliable power delivery.

    Impact
    Services on the affected hosts will be unavailable during the window.

    All services are currently online. We’ve traced the incident to the rack’s power distribution unit (PDU). We’ll perform emergency maintenance on the morning of October 30, 2025 (ET) to replace the PDU. A separate event will be opened to track this maintenance later today.
