Chicago Hardware Maintenance

    We will be performing hardware upgrades and general maintenance on select machines. Game servers hosted on the affected machines will be temporarily unavailable during this window.

    This work is part of our ongoing effort to improve performance and roll out better hardware.

    Each impacted machine will be offline for approximately 1 hour during the maintenance window. Servers on unaffected nodes will continue running normally.

    Our datacenter provider in New York will be performing mandatory power load balancing during this window. The affected node will be powered down and moved to a separate PDU to redistribute load and prevent circuit overload.

    Game Servers on gs101.nyc.winternode.com will be offline during this work. The full window is reserved by the provider, so actual downtime is expected to be shorter. Services will come back online automatically once the node is powered back up.

    No action is needed on your part. If your server does not return within a reasonable time after the window closes, please open a ticket and we will investigate.

    The router software will be upgraded to fix a known firmware bug that can potentially cause unplanned downtime. During this time, there will be multiple reboot events, lasting up to an estimated 15 minutes each, causing network inaccessibility.
