Our monitoring has not detected any further faults on gs101.gra.winternode.com, so we're closing this incident for now. We'll re-open it if the issue recurs.
Our provider has confirmed the server became unresponsive to ping while sitting at the login screen, with no firewall blocking traffic. They performed a soft reboot, after which the server returned to a healthy state with ping and services responding normally.
It's worth noting that this is a brand new machine that passed both their testing and ours, so an unplanned outage like this is not something we take lightly. We're following up with our provider for a more thorough root cause, as "we rebooted it" isn't a satisfactory answer for a node this fresh.
