    Our team has successfully restored all servers to the latest available backup, which was taken on April 16, 2023, at 4 AM Central Time. However, please note that any servers or data that were created after this time cannot be restored, as the server failure occurred before the backup was taken on April 17, 2023.

    We would like to remind our clients that according to our Server Backups article, MySQL databases are not backed up and therefore, unfortunately, they are irrecoverable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Server appeared in our monitoring interface due to no ping.

    An issue was identified with the rack power connectors causing the switches connected to this server to go down.
    The power issue has now been resolved.
    All power hardware has been checked and is performing as expected.
    No further issues have been identified.
    The server is now pinging.

    Customers using the Custom Subdomain r2f.co may have experienced temporary issues connecting to their Minecraft Servers between 9:25 AM Central Time and 11:26 AM Central Time.

    A fix has already been applied to the issue. However, due to the nature of DNS caching, it may take some time for the DNS servers around the world to clear out their cache, which can result in some users experiencing temporary connectivity issues.

    We have received an alert regarding MC-API being down in our Game Panel. This affects client's ability to view our Modpack Manager, Install Modpacks, and Install Forge & Fabric using the Install Different Edition system.

    Our Panel Team has been automatically alerted, however, do not have a estimate restoration time.

    All other functions of the Game Panel are still actively operational. We will update as we receive new information.

WN Game Control Panel - Authentication Failure using Client Area password for SFTP

    We have received the temporary IPs required to authenticate with our Client Area. We have verified internally with a few test accounts that SFTP using your Client Area password works.

    If you are still facing SFTP Authentication Failure messages, please reach out on Discord, if it is working now, we'd also love to hear from you as well.

    We plan to close out this incident in 2 hours if we receive no further reports from Clients.

    The Panel Team has provided an update regarding the stability and availability of the Panel since yesterday. They anticipate returning to normal operations over the weekend, as OVH has confirmed the issues should be resolved soon. Temporary IPs have been put in place to reduce the impact of further service degradation.

    Additionally, this workaround should allow them to add CA and AU back into the pool, though we have not noticed any changes to traffic routing.

    Authentication failures using a Client Area password are still occurring, likely due to a different set of IPs being used.

    WinterNode and the Panel Team are monitoring the situation closely. If you experience any new issues, please reach out to us via Discord.

    We have received multiple reports of Client Area passwords not working for SFTP. We are consulting our Panel Team to investigate further.

    Workaround - Use Game Panel password (not Client Area).

    If you do not remember your Game Panel password, you may use the Reset Password function on the login screen of https://gcp.winternode.com, or using the following method through the WinterNode Client Area.

    Client Area --> Services -> Select the Service -> Change Password in the left sidebar under Actions.
